The ModButton was born from two requirements. Newer, high-power lights require more current to reliably pass through remote switches in order to run at full power. And reduced rail-estate on smaller weapons makes it hard to fit electronic devices, mounts, and switches into a usable package. The ModButton, exclusively from Modlite Systems®, is a remote activation switch and modular mounting platform combined into a single unit. Based off the Unity Tactical FUSION Micro Hub, the ModButton features a top-mounted button with an offset FUSION/Scout interface. A short cable with a Surefire® style plug attaches to any Surefire® tail cap.
Improved electronics allow high output lights to function at full power rather than suffer the typical 15-20% reduction common with legacy switches.
The offset mounting interface will accept the Unity Tactical FUSION Light Wings, allowing for cantilever forward or back weapon light placement. It will also immediately accept the standard Surefire® Scout footprint for direct mount.
The ModButton bolts directly to in-spec M1913 Picatinny rails using the included hardware.
